Streets Impacted by the Asheville Holiday Parade

Logo

The Asheville Holiday Parade, presented by Bojangles, and Ingles JingleFest will bring 20,000+ people to Downtown Asheville on Saturday, November 21. Due to this large number of people and road closures, traffic and parking in downtown will be difficult.

We encourage parade attendees to use the Asheville Transit System and City of Asheville parking garages.

Asheville Police will begin clearing and closing downtown streets at about 8am, sometimes earlier.

  • Parking meters along the parade route will be closed at 6am. Meters are bagged to notate closure. Cars that remain parked Saturday, Nov. 22 are subject to towing.
  • This primarily involves Biltmore Avenue and Patton Avenue, but may affect meters in other areas of downtown as well.

The following roads are closed for the parade:

  • Biltmore Avenue from South Charlotte Street to College Street
  • Patton Avenue from Biltmore Avenue to Clingman Avenue/Haywood Street (including Vance Monument Area of Pack Square Park)
  • Charlotte Street from College Street to Biltmore Avenue
  • College Street from Haywood Street to Patton Avenue (along Pritchard Park)
  • Haywood Street between College Street and Patton Avenue (in front of Wells Fargo Building, along Pritchard Park)
