Opens Office in Asheville
August 1, 2018- Asheville, NC – Children’s Home Society of North Carolina is pleased to announce the addition of its newest office in Asheville. Located at 19 Zillicoa Street in the Montford Historic District, just north of downtown, our new office is in the distinctive Homewood building with its elegant castle architecture.
“This new facility creates a visible and tangible presence for Children’s Home Society and demonstrates our commitment to Asheville and the surrounding area,” said Alex Kelly, Director of Family Engagement. “With 362 children in foster care in Buncombe County, this space is allowing us to grow to meet the critical needs of children and families in the community.”

Last year Children’s Home Society served nearly 18,000 North Carolina children and families in its mission to promote the right of every child to a permanent, safe, and loving family. This included providing a safe haven for more than 400 children with foster care families on any given day, giving 178 children a permanent family to call their own through adoption, and providing educational services to nearly 13,000 teens, parents, and professionals.
