The Asheville Downtown Association Foundation (ADAF) is the 501(c)(3) arm of the Asheville Downtown Association, dedicated to placemaking and educational programming that enriches Downtown Asheville. The foundation has spearheaded numerous impactful projects, including the creation of vibrant public art such as the Wall Street mural and the Lexington Avenue sculpture. Additionally, the ADAF successfully raised funds for the canopy over the stage at Pack Square Park and has installed cigarette butt disposals throughout the city to promote a cleaner environment. The ADAF is also known for its Building Our City speaker series, which fosters community engagement and learning. This year, the foundation is concentrating on enlivening Downtown Asheville for the winter season through the installation of festive holiday lights and a series of winter-long programs, aiming to create a magical and inviting atmosphere for all.
