Cellicious: Wonderful Works for Cello and Piano

  • Asheville Art Museum 2 South Pack Square Asheville, NC, 28801 (map)

Join us for a special concert in the Windgate Foundation Atrium featuring AmiciMusic with Daniel Weiser on piano and special guest Amy Barston on cello. Their program will feature works related to flowers and springtime by Mendelssohn, McDowell, Bridge, Beach, and more in conversation with the current exhibition Flora Symbolica.

AmiciMusic is a chamber music organization based in Asheville and Baltimore dedicated to performing the highest quality chamber music in intimate venues and non-traditional spaces. This concert breaks down barriers between performers and audiences by setting up a more relaxed and informal atmosphere through informative talks about each composer’s life before each piece is played. Concert-goers are invited to explore the Museum before the concert. Exhibitions halls will close at 6pm to allow time for seating and refreshments at the Perspective Café Pop-Up Bar.
