Spring Out Routes
In response to the impacts of Helene, each of the routes has been updated to accommodate closed protected bike lanes, greenways, and city parks. We encourage participants to preview and download the routes—especially those riding with younger cyclists or those with limited urban riding experience.
Cruiser (1.5 miles): This route features streets in the River Arts District. Greenways and protected bike lanes are not included as they remain closed due to the impacts of Helene. Unlike previous years, this route includes active city streets.
Main Ride (11 miles): Includes the Cruiser route, a taste of natural surface trails, West Asheville and Downtown active streets, and a few climbs and descents.
Ride More (20 miles): Includes the Main Ride, plus a roll along North Asheville’s greenways, Merrimon Ave, and a climb up Beaucatcher Mountain for an additional natural surface trail experience.
