Downtown Holiday Windows Contest Winners Announced

The Asheville Downtown Association today announced the winners of its annual Downtown Holiday Windows Contest.

Judge’s scored on creativity, originality, interpretation of theme, use of merchandise and the WOW factor. The theme is “Home for the Holidays,” fitting for 2020.

“Even in a challenging year, downtown businesses have given us beautifully decorated windows,” said Meghan Rogers, executive director of the Asheville Downtown Association. She added, “Our judges were very impressed with the creativity and heart that went into each window.”

Winners are:

Judge’s Favorite: Patton Avenue Pet Company with Honorable Mention to Moogseum

Best Use of Theme: Strada Italiano with Honorable Mention to Spiritex

Best Use of Merchandise: Fired Up! Creative Lounge with Honorable Mention to Duncan & York

“Our small businesses need our support more than ever this year and it’s easy to find something for everyone on your holiday shopping list a local shops,” Rogers noted. “Many downtown businesses are offering online or appointment shopping, curbside pickup, and those welcoming you in person are strictly following requirements on face coverings, capacity limits and sanitizing.”
